Casa Ceu is a small-scale boutique hotel with an intimate and tasteful design in the fishing town Olhao. Explore this photogenic town with its picturesque narrow streets, colored houses and a growing number of quaint shops selling local delicacies and crafts. Eat out on the waterfront or catch the water taxi to bounty beaches. The Saturday market is a cultural spectacle, don't miss it.
The authentic building consists of a large living room with open kitchen on the ground floor, the four guest rooms on the first floor and a large attractive roof terrace. It is not surprising that the owner Lara is a big fan of the Riads in Marrakech. Casa Ceu is very tastefully decorated with many beautiful furniture and accessories from Morocco; handmade crockery, straw lamps, teapots, glassware, carpets...cacti and plants completes the picture.
There are nice extras that make your stay special and relaxing. For example, Dario is a wine lover and cooking fanatic; choose a bottle from the wine cellar and dine on the roof terrace or in the cozy eat-in kitchen. The serene guest rooms are equipped with bathrobes, air conditioning / heating, beautiful linen bedding and luxury care products. Enjoy the sunset and the gigantic blue sky on the terrace while enjoying a cocktail from the honesty bar.
A fresh and homemade breakfast is prepared daily, including fresh bread and cheese, seasonal fruits, homemade yogurt, pancakes and other treats. The presentation of this is a feast for the eyes.
Relax in Casa Ceu, enjoy each other's company and share beautiful experiences in this special region of the Algarv

Casa Ceu is situated in the charming town of Olhão. Olhão has a major port and is the largest fishing portin the Algarve. It is a characteristic town, partly because of the colorful houses in Moorish and Cubist style, an influence resulting from the commercial ties with Africa.
Olhão is a city of many faces, the (industrial) fishing port, the long promenade with refreshing gardens, and a historic center with narrow streets and local cafes. Along the waterfront, you will find the market halls; which are a must for the wide variety of very fresh fish and seafood straight from the harbor and an extensive offer of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
The market halls are surrounded by outdoor terraces; grab a seat here and enjoy the view of the boats while jazz music is playing in the local cafes. The Saturday market is a cultural spectacle, don't miss it.
Olhão is surrounded by "Ilhas"; islands with beaches and the Reserva Natural da Ria Formosa. This protected nature area offers fantastic hiking trails and you can spot as well rare birds. The two main beaches are Olhão Ilha da Colatra and Ilha da Armona which are all year round accessible by regular ferry from the jetty in Olhão (5-minute walk) or by a private water taxi boat that takes you there faster. The boat trip takes about half an hour and brings you to breathtaking beaches, without the tourism crowd that you are used to in the Algarve. There is as well a restaurant on one of the islands.
The wide sandy beach of Fuseta is a 20-minute drive away, while the charming town of Tavira is only 30 minutes in the direction of the Spanish border.
Faro airport is a 20-minute drive away.
Join Lara and Dario and take a horseback ride on a beautiful beach, cruise the Ria Formosa, attend a pottery workshop and learn something new. Embrace nature and share the moment.
