Casa Francese is a historic townhouse tucked away between the rugged mountains and the sea in the Ligurian hinterland. It is idyllically situated surrounded by ancient olive trees and with a breathtaking sea view. The creative German owner Sandra and her Ligurian-born husband Simon (an architect) stumbled upon this old decaying house and turned it into a unique holiday home for six people.
With a brilliant sense of detail, the property has been renovated and reduced to its essence to preserve its original charm. The old stone walls and vaulted ceilings are the real protagonists of the house, as are the restored tiled floors and wooden beamed ceilings in the bedrooms. At the same time, subtle modern conveniences have been integrated to provide maximum comfort, while warm earth tones, natural materials, and original paintings add a harmonious ambiance to the airy and bright spaces.
Outside you will find charming spots with impressive sea views. Drink a coffee under the parasol in the lush Mediterranean garden, enjoy an aperitif or meal on the sun terrace or the shady patio on the top floor. The back entrance of the house leads to a small square where you can immerse yourself directly in village life. Get a smile from the locals as you stroll through the narrow alleys and eat a small meal in the village's only restaurant. In just 20 minutes, you are on the beach of San Lorenzo.
In short, Casa Francese offers an extraordinary setting for a relaxing holiday full of authenticity!

The picturesque medieval mountain village of Montegrazie - in Liguria - is located a few kilometers inland from the Mediterranean Sea, not far from the seaside resort of Imperia. The narrow streets and local shops of the small village are surrounded by olive trees and the Ligurian mountains with numerous hiking trails. The beautiful beaches of Imperia: Porto Maurizio, Borgo Prino, and Spiaggia D'oro are a short drive away, as is the beach of San Lorenzo in the charming Noto (20 minutes). The Italian seaside resort of San Remo is only 30 minutes away, while the beautiful French Riviera (and the cities of Nice and Monaco) can be reached in a little more than one hour. A 2-hour drive will take you to the countryside of the Italian Piedmont region and Turin. Finally, the fabulous wine region Le Langhe - home to the exclusive Barolo wine, white truffle, and 'slow food' movement - is 2.5 hours away. This is a fantastic destination for a culinary day trip!
The nearest airport is Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (95 km), and the airport of Genova is at 125 km distance.
