Located at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains at an altitude of 650m, Casa Santo Stefano has a peaceful and 100% private setting. Surrounded by the rolling hills of Le Marche with unobstructed views of the idyllic mountain landscape, this is a unique location for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

The traditional house was renovated with respect for the past, preserving the old beamed ceilings, rough stone walls, and terracotta floors, and is complemented by a contemporary interior. Natural materials and colors characterize the spacious living rooms and bedrooms that have a serene and warm ambiance.

In addition to a comfortable living room and kitchen, you will find five double bedrooms, two of which are located in the annex called 'Capella'. On the grounds (of no less than 10,000m2!) of Casa Santa Stefano you will find yourself in an oasis of peace. Enjoy the fantastic views of the rolling valley by the pool, an al-fresco lunch on the shady terrace, and the space around the house to play.

The house is located in a rural area with picturesque villages - such as medieval Sarnano - wine farms and numerous opportunities for walking and cycling. The beaches on the Adriatic coast can be reached in an hour's drive and in winter you can be on the nearest ski slopes within half an hour. So, here you are in the right spot for relaxing and active day trips too!

There is a minimum stay of 4 nights, except for the months of May to September, in which the minimum stay is 7 nights.
The arrival day is flexible except for the months of May to September when there is a mandatory arrival on Saturday.
For a stay longer than two weeks you will receive a discount of 10%
In the months of November to February, a surcharge of 10 euros per day applies for electricity consumption.
Pets are welcome on request
The cleaning costs are 200 euros and are charged at the moment of booking

CANCELLATION & PAYMENT CONDITIONS

When booking, a deposit of 30% of the reservation amount is required. The remainder must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of your stay. When booking within the period of 6 weeks, the total reservation sum is to be paid immediately. In case of a cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of your stay, 50% of the deposit will be returned. In case of cancellation within the period of 6 weeks no refund will be made. We therefore recommend a cancellation insurance.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

The owners ask for a security deposit of 300 euros, which has to be paid in advance to Nice2stay. You will receive a payment request 1 week before your arrival. If you leave the accommodation clean and no damage is found, the deposit will be returned within 14 days.

TO BE PAID ON LOCATION

From November to February, a surcharge of 10 euros per day applies for electricity consumption.

Location

Casa Santo Stefano is located on the edge of the mountain village of Gualdo (2 km) in the province of Macerata (Le Marche). The friendly village provides you with all your daily amenities with a supermarket, bakery, butcher, ATM, and various bars.

Thanks to the central location of the holiday home, various trips are possible here all year round: to the sea, in the mountains, and in the countryside. Below are some tips:

For active visitors, the Sibillini Mountains are about an hour's drive away. From the town of Bolognola (32 km), there are easy walks of a few hours as well as more demanding routes that allow you to reach some of the highest peaks of the Sibillini. The mountains also offer many opportunities for mountain bikers. And in winter you can even go skiing! In addition to the small ski area of Bolognola (with 10 km of slopes), you can also ski in the Sarnano Neve area (20 km).
Culture lovers will certainly appreciate a day trip to Macerata (35 km). This beautiful walled city has an attractive medieval center, which is easy to explore. One of the city's highlights is the Sferisterio Arena, a 200-year-old neoclassical-style building that resembles a Roman arena. It is used during the popular opera festival held every summer in Macerata.
In the vicinity of the holiday home, you will find some typical (mountain) villages such as Sarnano (8 km) where you still experience authentic village life.
If you are in for a beach day, will find the sandy beaches of Civitanove Marche (56 km) an hour's drive away. A little further away, in Cupra Marittima (65 km), the beautiful coastal strip Riviera de la Palme with fine white sandy beaches begins. The historic center of Cupra is also worth a visit
In the surroundings, you also find plenty of opportunities to taste the excellent wines of the province of Macerata. At Saputi Winery - one of the first products of the region - you can taste recognized wines (including the indigenous wine Ribona).

Casa Santo Stefano consists of a villa and an outbuilding (the 'Capella') which houses two suites with private toilets and bathrooms. With a total of five bedrooms, the villa can accommodate 10 people. Outside you will find additional spaces such as a storage room with an extra fridge/freezer, a laundry room, and a small play area for children.

On the ground floor, you will find an open living room with a sofa, television, and an old wood stove. As well there is a fully equipped kitchen with a work island and all modern appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Magimix, oven, extractor hood, and gas hob. In the kitchen you also find a dining table.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a bedroom with two single beds. In addition, there are two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower.
