Benali is a unique holiday destination that’s idyllically situated in the mountainous region of Valencia and offers an ideal blend of tranquillity, relaxation, adventure and nature. After several Spanish adventures, Dutch couple, Daniël and Martine, embarked upon the challenge of transforming Benali into this small paradise where a thoroughly relaxing holiday is guaranteed.
The holiday accommodation comprises two traditional Spanish houses and a number of B&B rooms that each open out onto a lovely patio.
The two rustic holiday homes are attractively decorated and can comfortably accommodate 8 people. There’s a spacious living room with large dining table, lounge area with television, and a sitting area by the fireplace. The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable beds and benefit from a private bathroom. Whilst the simple, yet spacious kitchen is perfect for rustling up delicious meals, you can also join other guests on the patio for a freshly prepared breakfast or dinner.
The grounds are vast and boast a large communal swimming pool (plus children's pool), BBQ area and playground.
Parents can indulge in a delicious breakfast, relaxing massage or yoga class, whilst the kids enjoy fruit picking, walking the dog or making friends during a treasure hunt. And a paella night, enjoyed under the clear night sky, is the ideal way to round off a thoroughly blissful day!
In addition to the on-site activities (yoga, massages, treasure hunts and games), a wealth of unique excursions can be enjoyed in the surrounding area, including swimming in a nearby lake, visiting an historic castle, biking through Valencia and sampling the finest Spanish wines in a local bodega.

The Benali village is located in the mountainous area of Valencia with an ideal balance between tranquility, relaxation, adventure and nature.
It's an hour and 20 minutes drive from Valencia Airport. In addition to the activities offered on Benali (yoga, children's games), there are many enjoyable trips in the area:
The nature reserve offers 300 km of hiking trails. From Benali you can go trekking through the rugged, green countryside, through the woods and broad plains. Along the way you will encounter medieval villages and enchanted places with waterfalls and natural pools. For the avid walkers there is the 9th stage of the GR-7 which ends on the highest mountain in the province of Valencia, the Pico del Caroig. This walk takes 5 hours, of course, there are also shorter routes.
The area is perfect for beautiful mountain bike tours. For that reason, the nature around Benali is very popular among mountain bikers. Various routes can be found at different levels. Benali is working with a reputable organization that organizes bike trips, provides training to enhance your skills and rents bicycles.
Visit a Spanish bodega (local wine) and taste the local wine (and some small snacks). The bodega Enguera gives a wonderful and educational example of organic quality wines and olive oils produced in this province.
The river Sellent offers a wide variety of flora and fauna and scenic views. You'll also find a recreational area (Albufera de Anna) with a natural swimming lake. There are also picnic areas, restaurants and bars, fountains and a playground (22 km away from Benali (about 40 min drive). A little further on is a swimming lake with a meter-high waterfall, a refreshing shower.
Valencia is a special city by the contrast between the old town and the futuristic City of Arts and Science. A modern city where you can still taste the authentic atmosphere. The city is also to see very good from the bicycle. Start the day with a visit to the Mercado Central. From there you walk through the narrow streets with unique small shops, crowded terraces and many monumental buildings.
The nearest beach is Gandia, an hour and fifteen minutes away from Benali. If you cross the boulevard you will arrive at the wide sandy beach with several chiringuitos (simple bars with drinks and snacks), sunbeds and toilets. The beach and the facilities are clean and have all the necessary amenities. The sea is clear and warm from June to late October.
Less than 30 km away from Benali is a historic castle in the town of Xativa. The castle is built on the top of the mountain Moorish and has Roman and Iberian remains. It is located in a beautiful area, with an amazing view of the city and surroundings. The town itself is definitely worth visiting, with the colored houses and attractive squares.
