In a secret slice of eastern Italy, Nice2stay has discovered a hidden gem..a place full of charm, design & art..
Castello di Granarola was once an important feudal outpost, where wheat from the fertile valley below was stored and rationed out. What you see today is a sensitive reconstruction in local stone. In the nine self-catering suite apartments the owner (who is an interior designer) has used new and natural materials: wood, terracotta, ceramics and cast iron. Each apartment has its own theme, for example the Granaio (granary) suite, with shelves full of bread or the light Colombaia (dovecote) with bamboo bird cage lamps above the raised sleeping area. You will find qualitative beds with beautiful linen, fine care products, air conditioning and attractive details.
The location is beautiful, dominant on a hill with all-round views over the green hills and the coast of Le Marche. The nearest village is Gradara (5 min) and within 15 km you are in the larger towns Cattolica and Pesaro. A visit to the nature reserve San Bartolo is also worth a visit, there you will find beautiful quiet beaches ..
There is an inviting pool in the garden surrounded by a terrace, there is a communal BBQ, wood-fired pizza oven, a rain shower and a nice trattoria just outside the gate of the castle where you can eat!
Castle suite (magic bottles + granary)
White majolica royal suite
Cottage at the poolside (sea + dovecot)
