The three-bedroom apartment is located in the main building and has its own entrance. It is the ideal space for a holiday with family or friends in the serenity of the Portuguese countryside. The flat has a suite with a king-size bed, clothes storage, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower, sink, toilet and bidet. Next to this room there are two more bedrooms, one on the mezzanine, both with two single beds that can also be made up as double beds. The sandy beaches of Queimado (1,1 km) and Ilha do Pessegueiro (600 metres) are a short walk away. You can go cycling, horse riding and even take a horse-drawn carriage to the beach. This proximity makes the estate an ideal retreat for beach lovers including those who enjoy surfing and scuba diving. You will also find the fortress of Nossa Senhora da Queimada do Pessegueiro and a beach hut.
For a piece of authentic Portugal, there are some charming villages and towns to discover, such as Vila Nova de Milfontes (16 km), a small fishing village at the mouth of the Rio Mira. The São Clemente fortress is the eye-catcher of the town with the river on one side and the old centre on the other. Here you will find good restaurants, shops and boutiques. You can also drive to Santiago do Cacém (37 km), a town with a cosy historical centre, several museums and nearby a safari park for the children. You can also drive to Sines (25 km) and Porto Covo (8 km).
At Praia do Malhão (12,5 km) you can do some excellent surfing. For a boat tour to see one of the only dolphin communities of Europe in the Sado region, you can go to Vertigem Azul (1,5 hour drive). They organise several boat tours, but you can also go horseback riding through the Arrábida Natural Park. In Alentejo, it is definitely advisable to bring your walking shoes. With more than 1,000 kilometres of hiking trails, there is plenty to discover and especially the walks through the countless paths of the Costa Vicentina should not be missed!
Lisbon, the old city known for its steep streets, fine restaurants and beautiful old buildings and with an international airport, is only a 2 km drive away.
