You can dine together al fresco with sweeping views of Garrotxa, a natural reserve and volcanic zone full of wooded hills.
Inside you will find many places to share special moments together, like the wonderfully light and airy conservatory leading out to the garden, the cozy dining room for lazy breakfasts or the professional kitchen to prepare tasteful recipes with ingredients out of the organic garden. What keeps the spirit high, when celebrating holiday together, are the many options to have some private time; on your terrace, in front of the fire place, in the library or in the many corners of the garden.
What makes this house truly special is the colorful vintage interior in combination with luxury details as soft quality linen, comfortable beds, professional Nespresso machine, delicious teas and last but not least...the great atmosphere of a place created with lots of love by the owners Albert and Christina.
Although you find yourself in utter peace and quietness, you are close to many interesting places to discover. The medieval village Besalu (30 minutes) and the city of Girona (45 minutes) are nearby and even a day trip to Barcelona (1,5 hours) is possible. Although the beach just a little over an hour away, you can also take a swim in the lake of Banyoles or in your own waterfall pool on a 5 minutes walk from the house.

It is possible to add extra services when staying in Villa Can Batlle:
Reservations are considered valid after receipt of a down payment of 30% of the total rental costs. The balance must be paid 6 weeks before the day of arrival. If your booking is done within 6 weeks before arrival, you are required to pay the full amount immediately. In case of cancellation more than 6 weeks before arrival 50% of the received down payment will be refunded. No refund will take place in case of cancellation within 6 weeks before arrival. We therefore strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance.
You need to pay a security deposit of € 500,- to the owners on arrival in cash or with credit card. On the day departure you will receive it back, in case there's no damage.

Placed inside the Natural Reserve of the Volcanic Zone of la Garrotxa, Villa Can Batlle is located on a peaceful location, but yet close to charming medieval villages, lakes and beautiful hiking and bicycle opportunities. There are some bikes that you can use for free.
The village Santa Pau is just some minutes away and has some facilities like restaurants and small shops. The city Olot is a 15 minutes drive, the famous medieval city Besalu on 30 minutes and Girona in 45 minutes. The Dali museum In Figueres is a 50 minutes drive away and if you would like to have a beach day, the nearest beach is an hour away. Nature is stunning here, starting with there own waterfall...just a hike of 5 minutes through the grounds will bring you to the beautiful fall in which you can also take a swim. Walks through woodland, a swim in the lake of Banyoles, visiting the vulcano Santa Margarida. This one erupted 11.000 years ago, and has a medieval romanesque church in the middle of the crater.

The Spanish owners Albert and Christina have created a deeply peaceful place to share a very special holiday together. Christina is the person behind the quirky, magnificent, vintage interior with antique finds, clever lightning and eye for detail. Albert is the hospitable service-minded host/cook and will make you feel welcome.
