Look through the monastery windows of this extraordinary historical building over the rolling hills of Piedmont, and you find yourself in the distant past.
Villa del Borgo is a boutique hotel with a story and a remarkable history that goes back to the 8th century.
The monastery has been transformed with refined taste into a beautiful Roman-style building that breathes warmth and serenity. Eat here a delicious continental breakfast in the old “cantina” of the monks or enjoy the privacy of the spacious suites, one of which even has its own living room and two private terraces. Villa del Borgo has a unique location in the historic center of Canelli, a charming wine town in the Piedmont region. Situated on a hill, at walking distance from the center, Villa del Borgo offers stunning views of the valley.
Respectful of its original architecture and history, the building has been converted into a warm and modern retreat with a soothing atmosphere. This excellent boutique hotel has six double suites; some suites also have room for a third bed. It is, therefore, perfect for couples or small families with older children. After a wine tour in the area, swim in the pool, relax on the sun loungers or book the spa for private use and completely unwind.
